Linkin Park é uma banda de rock dos Estados Unidos formada em 1996 em Agoura Hills, Califórnia.^[6] Desde a sua formação em 1996, a banda já vendeu mais de 52 milhões de álbuns^[7] e ganhou dois Grammy Awards.^[8][9] Eles tiveram o sucesso alcançado com o seu álbum de estreia, Hybrid Theory, que foi certificado pela RIAA como disco de diamante em 2005.^[10] O álbum seguinte, Meteora, continuou o sucesso da banda, com o topo no gráfico de álbuns Billboard 200 em 2003, e foi seguido por um extenso trabalho de caridades e de turnês em todo o mundo.^[11] Em 2003, Linkin Park foi nomeado pela MTV2 a sexta maior banda de música e vídeo era a terceira melhor do novo milénio atrás de Oasis e Coldplay.^[12]

O último álbum de estúdio Minutes to Midnight atingiu o gráfico Billboard e teve a terceira melhor estréia na semana de qualquer outro álbum e foi o álbum mais vendido no mundo em 2007.^[13][14] Eles também são conhecidos por suas várias colaborações, mais notavelmente com o rapper Jay-Z no seu álbum Collision Course, e muitos outros artistas em Reanimation.^[15]
